We had Green Curry a few days ago. Curry is such a delightful blend of savory / sweet spices and heat - sometimes a lot of heat. It seems that you can use almost any vegetable with any meat and serve it over rice. It's all in the spices. Chutney is great with curry - sweet with heat lights up your taste buds, but we have found that whole cranberry sauce with just a touch of allspice is perfect with hot curry. We are over run with figs and I just love it when they come in. We share them with the birds, raccoons and squirrels, but not because we actually want to. So far this year we have frozen them, dried them, made jam and roasted them with olives, honey and feta cheese. It is keeping us busy to keep up with the fig trees, but you know we will be sorry to see them go. I am glad we have some to use in the winter.
