Some days are good chasing days and some are not. Today was a good day. The lines weren't jagged and my hands were in good shape to work. Every texture mark you see in this image is made by a single hammer blow on a chasing tool.  The heavier lines are chased in by moving the tool and hammering as it moves.  The hammer blows and tool movement is coordinated so we have no jagged or depth variation in the lines.
